Re: What's your favourite European country?
"scandinavia (six months of darkness...)"

This is the case only in the north of Arctic Circle area, which is desert anyway. Lovely myth though.

I love England but am not a huge fan of the English, I find them to be busy uptight cunts on the whole.

Re: What's your favourite European country?
Spain is probably the only country in Europe that I'd consider living in.

No idea why anyone would want to leave the UK to live in a sterlle land like Germany or god forbid fucking Switzerland or Scandi

Re: What's your favourite European country?
Mine has got to be both Portugal and Italy.

Portugal because of the Algarve, Porto and Lisbon are fantastic places and always found the Portuguese people to be very friendly, welcoming and helpful.

Italy - just come back from here yesterday and The Amalfi Coast is stunning!

England has bad weather, not enough mountains and too many posh cunts

Re: What's your favourite European country?
If I have to move and still have to work maybe Portugal or Spain, a big no to eastern europe and scandinavia (six months of darkness...), or specific area in England (Cornwall) or France (west coast south of Bordeaux).

Re: What's your favourite European country?
Country I'd be happiest living in: Germany, then Austria - think I've a good enough grasp of the lingo.

Country I'd like to have a long holiday in: France or Italy, partly so I could brush up my French or Italian.

Short holiday: somewhere I've not been to before, like Croatia or Turkey. Or Bulgaria, but well away from dumps like Sunny Beach, loved by my ex-girlfriend, but full of Western Europeans behaving badly.

Re: What's your favourite European country?
France, for its variety of landscape, climate, historical towns and villages, and (Paris excepted) its people, who generally get a worse press than they deserve. Nice lingo too.

Can't stand their politicians or their trade unions though.

And their food is actually NOT the best: that for me is Spanish or Italian food.
